Successful businessman Metin Liçis began by saying, “Leaders who want to build a workforce for the future need to understand how the priorities of the next generation are changing. “
MEtin Liçis added that according to the Global Workforce Hopes and Concerns Survey conducted by PwC in 2022, the top priorities of the new generation are education, development, flexibility, autonomy and transparency in social issues.
More specifically, these are:
- Twice as likely to ask for a raise in the next 12 months
- More than twice as likely to seek a promotion in the next 12 months
- We are three times more likely to switch to a new employer in the next 12 months.

Emphasizing that these results should be worrisome for leaders who are already struggling to retain talent, Metin Liçis stated that young generations constitute the largest part of the workforce. Because young workers are a tremendous resource for innovation, creativity and energy, companies that use them effectively are bound to achieve their business goals. Young employees who can adapt to a fast-moving work environment may also outperform the competition.
Metin Liçis concluded his words by saying, “Young employees can be a tremendous source of innovation, creativity and energy for a new generation of companies.”
